The Details for the 2021 Zhongshan Industrial Design Competition were recently issued, saying that the competition will consist of Comprehensive Competition and Special Competition groups. The total bonus of the Comprehensive Competition is 900,000 yuan.

The Comprehensive Competition covers such areas as smart home, intelligent manufacturing and other industries. The smart home and the comprehensive industry subcategories are further divided into a product design group and a conceptual design group. The intelligent manufacturing subcategory includes works featuring automation and intelligent transformation to solve common manufacturing chain problems.

A special industrial design group is set up in the comprehensive industry subcategory, mainly collecting design projects of industrial model system solutions, new production service models and basic Research on design that embody the "advanced design, technical collaboration, user experience-oriented" idea.

The Special Competition includes Xiaolan Hardware and Electrical Appliance Design, Guzhen Lighting Design, and Shaxi Casual Clothing Design subcategories.

The competition is open for applications from July to October.
