The Akeso Bay Area Science and Technology Park was completed and put into operation in the eastern Cuiheng New District (Ma'an Island) on March 26.

Akeso was founded in Zhongshan in 2012. Over the past 12 years, the company has been focused on the areas of bispecific antibody, antibody-drug conjugate and cell therapy, and its research input has exceeded 5 billion yuan.

In 2020, Akeso invested 2.5 billion yuan in the construction of Akeso Bay Area Science and Technology Park, which is an industrial park specialized in innovative antibody drug research and development, stock solution and preparation production, clinical development and sales of products, with a production capacity of exceeding 100,000L, in Cuiheng New District.

Here in the park, Akeso will establish a world-leading, digital, intelligent comprehensive base for biomedicine innovation and development, which has internationally leading disposable production lines and four 10,000-liter stainless steel bioreactor production lines. It will become one of the largest biopharmaceutical smart factories in China.
