Zhongshan Customs (affiliated to Gongbei Customs) on the morning of January 6 held the first policy briefing of 2021 in Gangkou Town to communicate with enterprises and help more of them understand relevant policies such as enterprise certification and cross-border e-commerce.

Zhongshan City Richsound Electronic Industrial Ltd (RSR) was granted an AEO certificate at the briefing. As the largest exporter of home audio equipment in Zhongshan, RSR mainly develops and produces home audio equipment, which are sold all over the world.

Last year, RSR's total export value reached $71 million, 35% more than in 2019. Its home audio equipment export volume was 1.26 million units, 12.5% more than in 2019. "Exports are expected to grow by 20% this year, making greater contributions to local economic growth," said Shen Yang, chairman of RSR.

AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certification is an important part of the World Customs Organization's efforts to set standards to secure and facilitate global trade. Customs offices then have the authority to accredit and categorize an enterprise as either an authorized economic enterprise, a generally certified enterprise, a generally credited enterprise, or a discredited enterprise. Authorized economic enterprises can enjoy preferential measures such as a lower inspection rate and can apply for customs exemptions.
