Under the supervision of officers from Zhongshan Port Customs, cargo ship "Runlong 638" set sail from Huangpu Port to Hong Kong with over 600 tons of steel structure building materials, which will be used for the construction on airport runways.

Zhongshan is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, and many large infrastructure construction materials are exported through ports in Zhongshan. In 2021, a total of 94,000 tons of infrastructure construction materials were inspected and released for key public projects in Hong Kong and Macao, such as Kai Tak Sports Park, Disneyland, Tsing Yi Power Station, and the Macao Power Station.

Since the beginning of this year, to meet enterprises' needs, Zhongshan Port Customs has optimized the customs clearance and supervision procedures, and utilized personal inspections and "green channels" to solve the customs clearance related difficulties such as the inability of oversized and overweight goods to be transported by land under customs supervision.
