In the first month since the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement, Zhongshan Customs has issued 143 preferential certificates of origin (C/O) for 39 enterprises in Zhongshan, with a total value exceeding 30 million yuan. The largest export destination in this time period was Japan.

The RCEP agreement took effect on January 1. China and Japan reached its first bilateral tariff reduction arrangement under RCEP. Thanks to the RCEP C/Os, a large number of products "Made in Zhongshan" have been exported to Japan, including plastic packaging containers, tableware, suitcases, furniture accessories, clothing, etc.

The RCEP agreement went into effect for South Korea on February 1 and will come into effect for Malaysia starting March 18.
