Baidu's vertical search engine, b2b.baidu.com, was recently in promotion at Zhongshan. This witnessed the introduction of the new online marketing platform for the household appliances cluster in Zhongshan.

This cooperation is another new move of Zhongshan's small household appliances industry in the digital field after the introduction of the C2M (customer to manufacturer) mode that Alibaba's Tiantian Factory launched in June in Zhongshan under its digital upgrading strategy.

Xie Tian, Purchasing General Manager of b2b.baidu.com, said that household appliance is not only one of the main commodity categories in the field of e-commerce, but also a key category b2b.baidu.com pays great attention to. Zhongshan household appliances industry cluster is located in the household appliances industry belt of the Pearl River Delta. After many years of development, a mature industry cluster and strong production capacity are formed. The b2b.baidu.com platform takes Zhongshan as one of the key promotion areas because of its rich and mature household appliances industry resources. 

"With the development of the Zhongshan household appliances industry cluster, both production and marketing are in urgent need of transformation and upgrading." Li Wenxia, Secretary-General of the Zhongshan Household Electrical Appliances Association, said that as e-commerce develops, Zhongshan household appliance companies are quickening the pace in exploring and trying new, effective e-business modes.

According to third party statistics,  the domestic B2B e-commerce transaction volume in 2018 was 22.5 trillion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 9.7%. Total revenue of B2B e-commerce reached 60 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 71.4%.

HC360.com is a B2B e-commerce platform developed earlier in China, and has a certain influence in the domestic household appliances industry. After the launch of b2b.baidu.com, HC360.com became one of its first authorized third-party service providers.

Yu Hao, Marketing Director of HC360.com, said that the cooperation between HC360.com and b2b.baidu.com is expected to bring more big data support for the Zhongshan household appliances industry, especially for the business dealers.
