The China Township Comprehensive Competitiveness Report 2019 was released in Beijing on September 8, and the Top 100 Towns in China, the Top 100 Towns in Central China, and the Top 100 Towns in Western China for 2019 were announced.

According to the report, the Top 100 Towns in China in 2019 were mainly in Eastern China, including 31 towns in Guangdong Province.

Xiaolan Town and Nanlang town in Zhongshan City were selected on the list, ranking 33 and 66 respectively.

Xiaolan Town, known as "the City of Chrysanthemum", is a nationally recognized town, a central town of Guangdong Province and the northwest hub of Zhongshan City. Nanlang Town is the hometown of Dr Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of China's democratic revolution, and a famous hometown for overseas Chinese.
