A total of 100 contestants selected from four rounds of auditions participated in the semi-final of the 5th Zhongshan Civilized Little Tour Guide 2019 in front of Yang Yin's former residence in Nanlang Town on June 16. The best 10 of each of the primary school group and the secondary school group will advance to the city final scheduled for July 13 at the annual Zhongshan Book Fair.

The participating little tour guides blended their commentaries with local red revolutionary sites and allusions. Also in the form of allegro, salty water song, Hakka folk song and others, they hoped to tell the audience the classic revolutionary stories of Zhongshan.

The event aims to vigorously promote the red classic culture across the city, celebrate the latest achievements of reform and opening up and socialist modernization, and demonstrate the new tourism culture features of Zhongshan.

After the city final, 3 serial activities on "Little Tour Guide Takes You to Revolutionary Sites" will be carried out. For each activity, a little tour guide will lead the little journalists to visit revolutionary sites or cultural bases in Zhongshan and provide introduction.
