Solo concert "I Have a Date with Ancient Poetry" performed by Song Zixin, a girl from Langqing Primary School, was held on the evening of July 6 at the Small Theater of Zhongshan Culture & Art Center.

Song Zixin, 9-year-old, who is of Chinese and American heritage, was born in Zhongshan. "My daughter began to learn dancing, vocal music and playing piano when she was very young. She also likes ancient poems", said Song's mother. "She started to prepare the tracks and rehearse the concert since last year."

On Children's Day this year, Song and her mother spared 200 tickets of her the concert for an activity. People who donated 5 picture books could redeem a ticket. "The tickets were all redeemed within 20 minutes."

It is reported that more than 1,000 picture books were raised from the activity, and they have been delivered in June to the primary schools in Zhula Township of Gongbo'gyamda, a county in Tibet's Nyingchi City.

Teachers and students of Langqing Primary School not only donated books, but also performed or danced with Song at the concert.
