300 fine carvings on display in Zhongshan

The "Great Country Craftsman" Carving Art Exhibition kicked off on July 13 at the Xiangshan Eaglewood Culture Museum in Wuguishan District, attracting hundreds of art lovers and collectors.

The exhibition, which will last until August 13, displays up to 300 fine carvings of eaglewood, yellow pear wood, lobular red sandalwood, embroidery, mammoth ivory and ceramic.

The "Full Steam Ahead", one of the exhibits, was created by Fang Guoqiang, an engraver of the Fujian Eaglewood Association, with Indonesian alpine eaglewood for half a year. It enjoying exquisite cutting technique and pleasant fragrance demonstrates the scene of ten thousand horses galloping.

In order to explore the unique charm of eaglewood culture, Zhongshan Art and Crafts Association and Zhongshan Eaglewood Society partnered up with Fujian Eaglewood Association, organizing famous engravers of two places to create these 300 carvings that fully reflect their professionalism and excelsior craftsmanship.
