Cantonese Opera has a large audience in Zhongshan. In order to create a sound climate for the inheritance and development of Cantonese Opera, Dongfeng Town recently unveiled the Cantonese Opera Summer Camp. The training offered music lessons taught by teachers from the city's Fengming Cantonese Opera Troupe. These instructive programs included an introductory lesson, postures and modes of the Cantonese Opera, four skills and five means of the Cantonese Opera, vocal tune rehearsal, posture rehearsal, and a performance. All manner of content ignited students' passion for learning this rich, traditional culture.
