A photo exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, sponsored by the Overseas Chinese History Society of Guangdong, Zhongshan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Zhongshan Federation of Social Science, kicked off at the Zhongshan Art Museum on September 19 and it would close on September 25.

The exhibition features 200 pictures presenting the deeds and achievements of overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao compatriots and returned overseas Chinese and their relatives, as they actively took part in the construction of the motherland and their hometowns since 1949.

The pictures are displayed in chronological order and are divided into three parts: "Pure Love for China", "Cohesion among Overseas Chinese" and "Dreaming of China Going Global".

"Pure Love for China" mainly describes the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, overseas Chinese, in addition to celebrating the founding of the new China, set off an upsurge of returning to the motherland, responded positively to her call and contributed to national construction.

Next, the second part describes the contribution of returned overseas Chinese in agriculture, industry, education, public welfare and other fields, and their efforts in cultural exchange and inheritance.

Finally, the last part highlights the prosperity and development of China in recent years, Zhongshan's achievements in all aspects of construction, as well as the efforts overseas talents made in Zhongshan's development.
