Backed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China and hosted by the Macao Government Tourism Office, the "7th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo" was held from April 26 to 28 at Pavilions D and E of the Golden Venetian Macao Convention and Exhibition Center. "Zhongshan Street" made its debut at the Expo.

It was reported that "Zhongshan Street" was designed and promoted based on Sun Yat-sen's former residence, gatehouse, incorporating elements such as Sun Yat-sen culture and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and giving full play to Sun Yat-sen culture and tourism, as well as its classic and modern style.

Nearly 30 cultural and tourism enterprises in Zhongshan participated in the exhibition, including the Tourism Area of Sun Yat-sen's hometown, Huayi Square, Zhan's Garden, Chinese Rosewood Culture Expo City and Zhou Xueqing's Embroidery Art, Hongshan Carving, Shaxi Herbal Tea and Grand Oriental Wax Art.
