The Yandun Mountain Tower (also known as Fufeng Tower), one of the top 10 scenic spots in Zhongshan, has been under renovation since August 19. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.

Local structures and components that do not conform to the original style and features of the tower will be removed during this project. The ancient tower will also be repaired and restored to maintain a complete and uniform style.

The Double Ninth Festival (October 7) is approaching, and Zhongshan people have the custom of climbing the tower to have a change of luck. In order not to affect the climbing activities, the Yandun Mountain Tower will be open to the public during the Double Ninth Festival, except for the stone steps at the bottom that are under maintenance.

Located in the Zhongshan Park in Shiqi District, the Yandun Mountain Tower was built in 1608 during Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty, and rebuilt in 1952 and 1983 respectively. It was designated a culture relic protection site in Guangdong province in 2008.
