The 29th Joint Conference of Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching-ling Memorials was held in Los Angeles on the evening of November 29, the US time. Chairman of Zhongshan Municipal Committee of CPPCC Qiu Shuhong was awarded the first “Sun Yat-sen Culture Prize” by Sun Yat-sen Center Foundation.

Chairman Qiu Shuhong has been working in Zhongshan, the hometown of Dr Sun Yat-sen, since 2004. Due to the business trip, Qiu Shuhong was unable to to receive the prize himself. Staff of Sun Yat-sen Former Residence was entrusted to receive the prize and deliver his appreciation.
