On the morning of August 20, the 26th China High School Biology Olympiad (CHSBO) concluded. Lu Genzhe, a student from Zhongshan Number One Middle School, won the gold medal and was the only member from Guangdong Province selected the national training team. He also obtained early admission to Tsinghua University.  

It is reported that this competition was attended by 240 candidates belonging to 30 teams from 29 provinces and municipalities across the country. 

Though admitted by Tsinghua University, Lu Genzhe still works hard. He plans to prepare for the training in this winter after taking lessons in the new term that starts in September. Lu Genzhe hopes to meet Shi Yigong, the famous biologist in Tsinghua University, and, more importantly, start his own research in the laboratory as soon as possible and become a biologist one day.
