The “Anti-drug Campaign” Mobilization and Deployment Conference was held in Zhongshanon September 13. The conference reported the progress of anti-drug work in the first half of the year, according to which up to 85.9 kg drugs of all sorts were captured (increased by 133.9% year-on-year). In specific, during an action taken by police in Tanzhou on June 15, a 66kg of methamphetamine were seized. 

At the meeting, Deputy Mayor, Director of Zhongshan Drug Control Committee and Chief of Zhongshan Public Security Bureau Zheng Zehui made a systematic report of the anti-drug efforts in the city and deployed the future work in the coming three years. 

Reporters learned that the planning of the three-year “Anti-drug Campaign” gave specific tasks and requirements to all the districts and towns. By the end of 2019, according to the planning, the proportion of anti-drug social workers over full-time staffs of the campaign will reach 30% or more.
