On the morning of September 15, the Second Session of the 15th People’s Congress of Zhongshan concluded in the City Convention Center after the agenda completed.

The Session voted to approve the Election Methods of the Second Session of the 15th People’s Congress of Zhongshan and was reported the economic and social development of Zhongshan in the first half of 2017 by Zhongshan People’s Government.

In accordance with the Election Methods, a new Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress shall be elected by secret ballot in the Session. Chen Xudong was elected unanimously.
