On September 18, as the last steel cylinder was precisely arranged under the sea with vibration sinking technique, the West Artificial Island of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel shaped up.

The vibration sinking project started on May 1 this year, and the entire construction process cost more than four months. The follow-up constructions of the West Artificial Island would be immediately promoted after the steel cylinders sunk into the sea.

In addition, the constructions of East Artificial Island and the main tunnel of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel will start successively by the end of this year. The construction of the bridge part is expected to start next March and the whole channel is expected to be completed in 2024.
