On the afternoon of October 8th, Zhongshan Public Security Bureau released a report on Zhongshan’s social order during the National Day and Mid-Autumn festival holiday (from October 1st to 12am on October 8th). According to the report, the phone calls received by Zhongshan’s police witnessed a 28.6% year-on-year drop and the city’s criminal cases saw a 48% year-on-year decline. 

During the two holidays, 4 mass activities were held in Zhongshan, with 36 thousand participants and 424 policemen involved. Besides, more than 128 thousand tourists visited the former residence of Sun Yat-sen the 5A tourist site without any accident. 

Zhongshan traffic police also stepped up efforts to relieve the traffic pressure on highways and the roads near tourist sites and dispatched 4,522 police to deal with more than 10,000 traffic violation cases, ensuring the sound traffic order in Zhongshan.

In addition, 61 fire accidents occurred in Zhongshan, but no one was injured. Zhongshan dispatched 2,089 fire fighters and 862 fire trucks, saving 6 people’s lives and assets of 171 thousand yuan.
