The 5th session of the Standing Committee of the 15th Zhongshan People's Congress (as “the session” below ) was convened on October 31.

After learning and conveying the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, the session examined “The Draft Regulations of Management of Zhongshan Parking Lots”. In the next stage, the draft regulations will be modified by relevant departments and submitted to the Standing Committee of Zhongshan People's Congress for second review after deliberation of Commission of Legislative Affairs of Zhongshan People’s Congress.

The session also passed some personnel appointment and removal decisions. Lei Biao was accepted to resign as the deputy to Zhongshan People's Congress. Ma Li was approved by voting to hold the post of Deputy Mayor of Zhongshan People’s Government, while Peng Zhengpo to hold the posts of Deputy Chief Procurator of Zhongshan Municipal People's Procuratorate, Committee Member and Inspector of Procuratorial Committee of Zhongshan Municipal People's Procuratorate.

Zhongshan Municipal Party Secretary and Director of the Standing Committee of Zhongshan People's Congress Chen Xudong attended the meeting and issued letters of appointment to newly appointed comrades. After the session, Chen Xudong presided over the swearing-in ceremony for newly appointed officials.
