According to the statistics of Zhongshan Environmental Protection Bureau, in the first ten months of the year, up to 1,974 "yellow label" vehicles in Zhongshan had been removed, which overfulfilled the goal set by Guangdong provincial government. In the next step, Zhongshan will strengthen prevention and treatment on mobile source pollution and carry out on-road spot check of motor vehicle exhaust.

To address atmosphere pollution in fall and winter, since September, environmental authorities in both city and town levels have conducted daily regular check on the source of pollution and strengthen control over air-polluting enterprises.
