During the 3-day New Year’s holiday, a total of 124,000 passengers took inbound and outbound trips through Zhongshan Port, which increased 35.4% from the same period last year, according to Zhongshan frontier inspection station.

Reportedly, mainland residents, accounting for about 70% of the total number, were still the “main force” of inbound and outbound tourists during the holiday. The peak of entry and exit appeared on the first day of the holiday. On that day, entry and exit tourists amounted to 4,448 person-times, among which 2,254 were outbound tourists and 2,194 were inbound ones.
