On March 13, Zhongshan Spring Festival Transport Office released the statistics report on the 40-day 2018 Spring Festival Transport concluded a day before.

According to the report, a record of 9.07mn passengers departed from Zhongshan during Spring Festival Transport, with year-on-year increase of 3.68%. Railway passenger transportation volume increased 19.87% to 948.7 thousand person-times.

“The passenger flow peak occurred before the Spring Festival holiday. A record of 273.2 thousand passengers departed from Zhongshan on February 10. There was a return travel peak on February 22 (the 7th day of Chinese New Year).” Said the staff of Zhongshan Spring Festival Transport Office. He added that the trans-provincial passengers mainly traveled to Guangxi, Hunan and Jiangxi.

According to Zhongshan-Hong Kong Passenger Shipping Co-op Co Ltd, the passenger flow of waterway increased by 16.55%, owing to the opening of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Water Bus service. Residents can rapidly travel between Shenzhen airport terminal and Zhongshan port terminal by water bus.
