Zhongshan Supervisory Committee joins hands with Zhongshan People’s Procuratorate

Zhongshan Supervisory Committee and Zhongshan People’s Procuratorate jointly held a press conference on June 12. Both sides signed the “Collaborative Implementing Measures of Reinforcement of Public Interest Litigation (Trial)”.

According to the Measures, Zhongshan Supervisory Committee will transfer the clues about “hurting national interests and public benefits” found in discipline-violating, law-breaking and crime cases involving civil servants to the procuratorial organs, and the procuratorial organs will launch public interest litigation to strengthen performance supervision and responsibility investigation on administrative departments. Civil servants, once are found violating discipline, breaking the law or committing crimes by Zhongshan People’s Procuratorate, will be transferred to the Zhongshan Supervisory Committee. 

Ye Xiangkao, Secretary of Party Committee and Chief Procurator of Zhongshan People’s Procuratorate, introduced that the Measures is an innovative action of exerting supervisory committee and procuratorate’s function, public interest protection, supervision strengthening on civil servants and law-based administration within Guangdong Province.
