The inaugural ceremony of the "Guangdong Voluntary Detoxification Hospital" also know as the "Guangdong Evaluation and Detoxification Medical Institution for Drugs Addicts" was held Wednesday morning at The Third People's Hospital of Zhongshan. It marked the opening of the first voluntary detoxification hospital in Zhongshan.

"We primarily provide hospitalization services for those in need of voluntary detoxification. Drugs users may receive treatments such as medicine therapy, physical isolation, psychological therapy, and rehabilitation, which can help them increase the possibility of long-term detoxification," said Jiang Tingyun, Deputy Director of the hospital. "We will also pay follow-up visits to the rehabilitated patients after they return to society. This will be in an effort to offer them further assistance and reinforce the detoxification effect."
