The report provided by Zhongshan Investigation Team of the National Bureau of Statistics showed that Zhongshan's CPI for April leveled off on a month-on-month basis and increased 2.0% year-on-year.

Food price saw a mild drop of 0.1% from the previous month.

It is easier to produce and transport vegetables as the temperature in April was rising. Therefore, the fresh vegetables price saw a decline of 4.2% due to sufficient supply.

The price of roasted pork and other livestock meat products rose 6.3%, as citizens' demand on such products increased due to ancestor worship activities during the Tomb-Sweeping Day period.
