From July 15, exclusive lanes for passenger car will be set on North Outer Ring. According to relevant regulations and requirements, the first lane on the left side will be the passenger car lane, where other large- and medium-sized vehicles are prohibited.

The traffic police department reminds that North Outer Ring has a speed limit of 60 km/h. Once the road signs and markings are renewed, vehicles illegally entering these exclusive lanes will be fined according to law.

North Outer Ring serves as a main road in Zhongshan urban area, with dump trucks, concrete mixers, large trucks and other oversize vehicles taking up the leftmost lanes at low speed, thus seriously affecting the traffic efficiency and posing potential safety risks.

On May 5, 2019, the Zhongshan Traffic Police Group set exclusive lanes for passenger cars on South Outer Ring, thereby significantly improving traffic conditions and slashing traffic accidents on a year-on-year basis.

Drawing from this successful experience, the traffic police department decided to set passenger car lanes on North Outer Ring to improve road traffic.
