The Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing of Zhongshan Polytechnic (ZSPT) was unveiled in Sanjiao on July 12. Co-built by ZSPT and Zhongshan Education & Technology Co Ltd, the college will adopt German vocational education philosophy and the "dual-system" school-running mode to cultivate elites of intelligent manufacturing for Zhongshan and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

ZSPT president Wu Jianxin indicated at the opening ceremony that the cooperation aims at learning the German vocational education philosophy and the "dual-system" school-running mode. It also aims at enhancing the modernization of vocational education in the new era through "college-base-company" cooperation,  thereby enhancing Zhongshan's social and economic transformation and  industrial structure upgrading. Both sides will further cooperate on talent cultivation, teacher training, training base construction, breakthrough on science and technology, etc.

Li Zhanqi, dean of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering School, ZSPT stated that the college currently provides four majors, including mechatronics technology, electrical automation technology, mechanical design and manufacturing, and mould design and manufacturing, thus enrolling students from all over China. At the moment, ZSPT plans to send its seniors to the Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing for reinforcement learning  and will later send its freshmen and sophomores. Besides, it will send students who are willing to learn in the college in relevant majors. Students may obtain the German Vocational Qualification Certificate upon graduation, and become talents of intelligent manufacturing for Zhongshan, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and even for the whole country.
