The East District administration plans to start the renovation of the Kuchong Market in September. The construction will last for 3 months and a half, during which a temporary market will be set up outside.

"The scheme is still being revised," said the market manager, adding that the renovation may start on September 16. During the renovation, all stalls will move to the temporary market to be set up in the parking lot in front of Kuchong Market.

Since its opening in 2005, Kuchong Market has been one of the most popular markets in the central city selling abundant vegetables and meat. It will be upgraded in appearance and functions after the renovation.
