The Ministry of Ecology and Environment on September 17 released the national air quality status to the media for August and the period from January to August this year.

In August, among 168 key cities, Anyang, Linfen and Dazhou had relatively poor air quality, while Haikou, Lhasa and Harbin had relatively good air quality.　

In the first 8 months of the year, among 168 key cities, Linfen, Xingtai and Shijiazhuang witnessed relatively poor air quality, while Haikou, Lhasa and Shenzhen saw relatively good quality. Zhongshan ranked 12th nationwide in air quality.
