China's seventh statutory "Seniors' Day" was celebrated on October 7, 2019. According to statistics, there are now 98 centenarians in Zhongshan, one fewer than the same period last year.

The oldest person is Xu Chuqiao, who was born in late October, 1911. She is registered as a resident living in Huayuan Community, East District.

Of the 98 centenarians, 19 are men and 79 are women.

Dachong and Xiaolan towns both have 9 centenarians, followed by Shiqi District and Nanlang town (each with 8) and Huangpu town (7).

A variety of visit activities were recently carried out for these 98 centenarians.
