Officials of the Zhongshan Highway Administration, including director Liu Wenyong, deputy director Xu Jiafa and basic construction department chief Yuan Zhanchao were invited to radio program "Voice of People on Friday" on November 15 to communicate with the public on the construction of Zhongshan's main highways.

Liu Wenyong revealed that the anticipated construction of the Zhongshan south section of National Road G105 will start later this month. The construction is expected to reach completion in May 2022.

G105 Zhongshan south section goes from Shalang in West District to Guhe in Sanxiang town. The project passes through West District, Shaxi, Banfu and Sanxiang towns, with a length of about 32 kilometers. A total of 10 new overpasses, 9 underground pedestrian walkways and 1 undergroud traffic passage will be added to the two-way eight-lane highway.

Liu Wenyong said that, the Zhongshan Highway Administration will work with the construction units to strengthen safety and quality management, draw up scientific plans, and shorten the construction period as much as possible.
