The Guizhou Waterway Bridge (aka the Dayan No.2 Bridge), an important node project of section one of Huangpu Expressway, was open to traffic on December 9.

It is reported that the bridge can realize the rapid traffic between Ronggui Outer Ring Road of Shunde and Nansan Highway of Zhongshan by cutting the driving time from half hour to about 10 minutes.

The bridge is currently the cable-stayed bridge with the largest single tower span in Zhongshan, with a maximum span of 138 meters, the tower height of 82 meters and the total bridge length of 787 meters (including the approach bridge). According to the person in charge of the site construction, after the opening of the new bridge of Guizhou Waterway Bridge, the old Dayan Bridge will be closed for maintenance and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

By the next Chinese Spring Festival, Linglan Road, another trunk road in Huangpu Town, will also be open to traffic.
