The Guangdong Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment recently released the list of Guangdong's "Top 100 Foreign-funded Companies " in 2019. A total of 6 Zhonshan-based enterprises made the list. The number ranks 5th within the province.

The six companies are Perfect (China) Co Ltd, Wistron InfoComm (Zhongshan) Corporation, Thyssen Elevator Co Ltd, Guangdong Homa Appliances Co Ltd, Mingyang Smart Energy Group Co Ltd and Sandoz (China) Pharmaceutical Co Ltd.

At present, Zhongshan has assembled foreign-funded companies from more than 50 countries and regions. By the end of 2018, there were 4,655 foreign funded companies in the city, 11.98% more than the same period in 2017. Torch Development Zone is still a popular choice for foreign-funded companies, with a total of 655 representatives by the end of 2018.

From 2018 to 2020, Zhongshan will increase financial incentives for high quality foreign investment projects. Among them, the provincial and municipal fiscal superposition will have a maximum of 150 million yuan.

It is reported that the Foreign Investment Law will come into effect on January 1, 2020. The Zhongshan Bureau of Commerce and other functional departments will then simplify the entry procedures for foreign investment and further improve the level of investment facilitation.
