On the morning of December 18, in the online clinic on the first floor of Kangyi Special Clinic of Zhongshan People's Hospital, nephrologist Lin Jian received an patient online and wrote the first prescription in the history of the online hospital service in Zhongshan.

During the whole morning, the two online clinics of the Zhongshan People's Hospital received a total of 5 patients. "This way of seeing a doctor is not only convenient for patients, but also reduces the pressure of doctors at work," Lin Jian said.

Yuan Yong, president of the Zhongshan People's Hospital, said that the two online clinics had been opened for endocrinology and nephrology. There are now 123 doctors working in the online hospital.

Online hospitals will be opened at the Zhongshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Zhongshan Bo'ai Hospital, Xiaolan People's Hospital, and Chen Xinghai Hospital in the near future.

The city's online hospitals takes "Healthy Zhongshan App" as its entrance gateway to provide online follow up services for patients. Residents can now enjoy online and offline medical services in combination with the app's functions of appointment registration, report inquiry, and payment across clinics.
