The 5th Zhongshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Culture Festival themed on "Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance and Health Preservation in West District" will officially open on December 30 at the Joy City in West District.

In the 3-day event, the organizer will present a feast of "science popularization & experience" to the citizens through forums, exhibitions, public welfare lectures  and free clinic service.

On the opening day, the organizer will join hands with West District-based companies to distribute a batch of welfare gift packages to the citizens, and invite experts in the field of traditional Chinese medicine health care. During the innovation and development forum, attendants can discuss and share experience on the development of traditional Chinese medicine health care industry from the perspectives of policy analysis, industrial development trend predication and the prevailing situation in West District.

The organizer will at the same time held three "Public Welfare Lectures on Health Maintenance" at the Joy City in a bid to promote a healthy lifestyle in an all-round way.

According to reports, West District revised the supportive policy for promoting the health maintenance industry of traditional Chinese medicine last year, allocating 5 million yuan per year to boost the development of the industry, with a focus on 11 types of development projects.

In recent years, West District has developed the health industry in such areas as health management, medicine, rehabilitation intelligence, elderly care and health maintenance and promoted the construction of the "West District Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Care Town".

As of now, the Yushui Bay Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Care Demonstration Park is completed, with more than 10 companies such as Hong Kong Tianmazai Investment Group Management Co Ltd introduced. The "Yuxihui" and "Caihonghui" medical resources industry clusters are identified, and the "National Health Promotion Zone" is established.
