On the afternoon of February 21, two full-loaded trucks set out from Zhongshan Convention Center to deliver caring materials to medical staff working at the Hubei anti-epidemic forefront. It is expected that the first batch of materials will reach them in 3 days. Yuan Yongkang, vice mayor and president of the Zhongshan Red Cross Society, attended the departure ceremony together with representatives of caring enterprises and warm-hearted citizens.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Zhongshan city has sent four medical teams to support Wuhan, Jingzhou, and other places in Hubei Province. According to the instructions of the epidemic prevention and control headquarters, the Zhongshan Red Cross Society sent a batch of materials that gathered the love from all sectors of Zhongshan's society to support the Guangdong province's medical teams working at the Hubei anti-epidemic forefront. The materials sent this time mainly included nutrition supplies to improve the immune systems of medical staff as well as daily necessities.

"We will keep paying close attention to the needs of front-line medical personnel in Hubei and gather materials for them in a timely manner," said Jian Haiyan, executive vice president of the Zhongshan Red Cross Society. The Zhongshan Red Cross Society has connected with the Hubei local green channel, and with the support of caring logistics companies, which will deliver the materials to the front-line medical staff working in Hubei as quick as possible, expressing well wishes from the Zhongshan Municipal Committee of CPC, Zhongshan municipal government, and the Zhongshan people.
