Guan Ruilin, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress, met with Anja Villefrance, consul general of Denmark in Guangzhou on July 24. Guan Ruilin welcomed Anja Villefrance and her colleagues, and introduced Zhongshan's new urbanization development achievements, current situation, and urban water resource management planning. Anja Villefrance briefly introduced the progress of cooperation between Denmark and Guangdong regarding water environment resources.

At present, Zhongshan is promoting the improved management of urban water resources, renovating 15 watersheds and 1,041 rivers. Anja Villefrance hopes to have further exchanges and discussion with Zhongshan on such topics as green city development, self-sufficient economy and sustainable development, learn more about Zhongshan's planning and development, and share Denmark's latest successful experience.

In terms of water resource management, Denmark's Grundfos company is a global water pump manufacturer, which officially entered the Chinese market 25 years ago. Its products are widely used in many fields such as industry, construction and water supply.
