With the theme "Charming Guangdong, Humanistic Greater Bay Area", the 2020 Zhongshan Mass Culture Festival for Overseas Chinese that was co-sponsored by the Guangdong Province Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the Zhongshan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese opened at the Zhongshan Expo Center on the morning of August 28.

The festival started on time at 9:30 am with a melodious Guzheng performance. The "Zhongshan Mass Culture Festival for Overseas Chinese" was originally founded in 2010. After five sessions, it has become an important icon for Zhongshan's overseas Chinese culture. It plays a positive role in enriching the spiritual and cultural life of overseas Chinese, improving the vitality of Chinese people at home and abroad, and spreading the voice of Zhongshan.

Subsequently, the New Overseas Chinese Service Center of Zhongshan was put into use at the Zhongshan Public Service Center. It is Guangdong's first municipal service center for new overseas Chinese. "With the center, we can attract more talented professionals and solve more problems for overseas Chinese in need." said Li Junhao, a deputy to the National People's Congress and vice chairman of the Zhongshan Federation for Returned Overseas Chinese.

The Zhongshan Mass Culture Festival for Overseas Chinese this year will include six major theme events.
