Zhongshan held the 2020 Collective Approval Conference for Soldiers on the afternoon of September 1 in the Zhongshan Military Sub-District.

After the physical examination and political review, 701 young men in Zhongshan were qualified in both categories.

This year, the Guangdong Provincial Conscription Office has set Zhongshan a conscription quota of 570 men and 7 directly enlisted non-commissioned officers with special qualifications (4 electronic information major recruits, 2 in mechanical design and manufacturing, and 1 in communications).

464 qualified young men in Zhongshan were college students, accounting for 80.4% of the total. Their indicators met the requirements stipulated by the Guangdong Provincial Conscription Office.

New recruits will serve in the army starting September 10.
