The paving of the bituminous concrete subsurface test section of the Nanlang Expressway was officially started on September 5. According to the current construction progress, it is expected that section II and III of Nanlang Expressway will be completed by the end of this year, and the whole road will be opened to traffic by the end of 2021.

Nanlang Expressway is 15.4 kilometers long and is divided into 4 roadbed sections and 1 surface pavement section. Among them, roadbed section III has been basically completed.

Since the resumption of work this year, the Nanlang Expressway project has completed an image output value of more than 80 million yuan, accounting for 120% of the planned value and 59% of the annual output value target.

As an important main road between the north and the south, Nanlang Expressway will run through East District and Nanlang Town to make trips convenient for residents in these two townships. The speed limit will be 80km per hour, and there will be no traffic lights on the whole journey, which can greatly shorten the south-north traffic time of Zhongshan. 

Nanlang Expressway will help relieve the traffic pressure of the S111 Provincial Highway and shorten the time from Zhongshan to Zhuhai's Xiazha to less than 30 minutes.
