The first Zhongshan Partner Assistance for Chaozhou Poverty Alleviation Special Products Fair in township opened at the Guzhen Flower and Bonsai Market of Zhongshan Garden City on September 11, and nearly 200 special products from Chaozhou were sold on site.

At the opening ceremony, charitable enterprises and departments offered to buy agricultural products to help farmers. Consumers enjoyed shopping and carried special products such as tea, honey and lotus seeds home.

Since 2016, Zhongshan has been helping 38 provincial poor villages in Chaozhou overcome poverty. By the end of August 2020, these 38 villages had all been lifted out of poverty, with an average collective economic income of 98,000 yuan per year.
