Swimmer Wang Xue'er from Zhongshan Sports School on September 27 won the women's 100m backstroke champion with the performance time of 59.55 seconds and reached the Olympic level A in the 2020 National Swimming Championship & Standards Competition for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

The competition is being held in Qingdao from September 26 to October 2, with about 300 athletes from all over the country taking part in. The results of this competition will serve as an important indicator for whether an athlete can participate in the Tokyo Olympic Games next year. National team members such as Ye Shiwen, Xu Jiayu and Xin Xin all participated in the competition.

This time Wang Xue'er won the national champion, which means that she has taken another step towards participating the Tokyo Olympic Games.

In August 2016, Wang Xue'er made her debut in the Olympic Games and competed alongside Fu Yuanhui in Rio, Brazil. But she unfortunately lost in the semifinals.
