The arch of the main section of Hongqili Waterway Grand Bridge, which is one of the important sections of the Nansha Port Railway, was completed by China Railway Sixth Group Co Ltd on December 22.

This provided technical parameters and construction experience for further construction, marking the final stage of the construction of the Hongqili Waterway Grand Bridge.

"The plan to complete the arch will be implemented next month, and the structure of the main bridge is expected to be completed by the Spring Festival next year." A spokesperson said.

The main section of the Hongqili Waterway Grand Bridge is located downstream of the junction of the Xiahengli Waterway and Hongqili Waterway in the Pearl River Delta, with a total length of 998.8 meters. It is a double-track railway with a designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The main bridge uses a flexible steel truss arch and double girders with a span of 360 meters. Its midspan is currently the largest of the same type bridges in China and is called "the No.1 girder in Asia".
