The 4th list of national environmental protection facilities and urban sewage and garbage treatment facilities which are open to the public was recently released by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Zhongshan Weiman Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd, whose processing center is located in Nanlang Town's central comprehensive waste treatment base, was on the list.

So far, Zhongshan has opened all four types of environmental protection facilities to the public, namely environmental monitoring facilities, urban sewage treatment facilities, urban domestic waste treatment facilities, and hazardous, electrical and electronic products waste treatment facilities.

Previously, the roadside automatic air monitoring station of the Zhongshan Municipal Party Committee School, Zhongshan's southern comprehensive waste treatment base, and Zhongshan Sewage Treatment Co Ltd were selected as environmental protection facilities open to the public.

"Opening environmental protection facilities to citizens can improve their environmental protection awareness, and enhance their recognition and sense of trust of enterprise management and industry development through practical experiences," said an official of the Zhongshan Bureau of Ecology and Environment, adding citizens who want to learn about relevant environmental protection knowledge can make an appointment to visit these 4 public units.
