The fifth session of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Committee started at the Zhongshan Conference Center on the morning of February 4.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Committee, Tang Ying, chairman of the CPPCC Zhongshan Committee, reported on the progress from the past year and put forward some suggestions for the work report in 2021.

He Cancheng, vice chairman of the CPPCC Zhongshan Committee, also made a report on the proposals to the conference. Since the fourth session of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Committee, a total of 383 proposals have been received, of which 232 have been filed. Among them, there were 9 key proposals, 175 proposals from committee members, 51 from non-party committees and persons, 3 from special committees, and 3 from Hong Kong and Macao groups. By the end of December 2020, all the proposals had been replied.

Fifteen outstanding proposals in 2020 were commended in the conference, and proposal training for members of CPPCC Zhongshan Committee was also conducted.
