According to statistics released by the Zhongshan Investigation Team of the National Bureau of Statistics, the per capita disposable income of Zhongshan residents was 52,754 yuan in 2020, enjoying a nominal growth of 4.5% and a real growth of 1.9% after deducting price factors.

Wages were the main source of income. The per capita income from wages was 35,389 yuan, an increase of 3.8%, accounting for 67.1% of the total per capita income, and contributing to 57.1% of the growth in disposable income.

In addition, the per capita net income from business operations was 6,563 yuan, an increase of 8.0%; the per capita net property income was 6,120 yuan, an increase of 7.4%; and the per capita net transfer income was 4,682 yuan, an increase of 1.4%.

The per capita consumption expenditure of Zhongshan residents was 32,736 yuan, down 3.6%, with traditional consumption expenditures accounting for 60% of expenditures, up 1.5 percentage points from the previous year.
