Zhongshan will implement a tiered electricity pricing preferential policy for large households from June 1 to reduce electricity charges on affected households.

According to the policy, a household with 5 people or more can apply for an increase of 100 kWh per month in base power in each tier.

For a household with 7 people or more, it can also choose a combined meter electricity pricing approach (an increase of 3.7 cents per kWh) instead of tiered pricing.

The details will be announced later by June 1. Residents can check specific information after announcement and apply for the policy.
