After 25 hours of continuous construction, the E12 tube section of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge immersed tunnel was installed and connected with other sections on September 15.

The E12 pipe section is 165 meters long, 46 meters wide, 10.6 meters high and weighs about 80,000 tons. It is the first section of the project that gradually extends to the shoal area, running west to east.

So far, 13 sections have been installed, and the tunnel now exceeds 2 kilometers in length at 2,062.3 meters.
